Welcome to first grade! I am looking forward to working with your children this year. We will be going on a journey filled with learning and exploring. We will learn a lot of new and exciting things this year in first grade. I’m eager to start my 4th year teaching first grade with your children.
This is my fifth year teaching at Plat school. I graduated from UW-Milwaukee in May 2009 with an Early Childhood degree. I graduated from Alverno this summer with my masters degree and will receive my reading teacher license. I learned many new ideas and I'm eager to use everything I learned with my students this year in my classroom.
A Little Bit About Me: When I am not teaching I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I come from a large family and have a lot of cousins. I grew up being the second oldest grandchild so I did a lot of babysitting. That is what made me find my passion for children and want to go to school to become an early childhood teacher. During my free time I enjoy going on bike rides, shopping and working out. I also love to travel and see many new things. My first time out of the country was 3 summers ago when I went to Paris. I just got married on August 17th and went on a Caribbean cruise!
