Mrs. Bachtell's 1st Grade Classroom!!



We are having have an exciting year in 1st grade, and many memories have been made! This year in first grade, we are learning many new things in Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies. Each week we have a variety of special classes: Art, Music, PE, and Spanish. We also visit the Library and Computer Lab once a week. 

This is my third year teaching first grade, and my first year at Plat. I've enjoyed teaching elementary for the past seven years, and love each grade! I graduated with a bachelor's degree in elementary and early childhood education in 2009. Previously I taught in Michigan, Milwaukee, and Cedarburg. 

My husband, Dave, and I live in Germantown. We both love the outdoors, and enjoy hiking, kayaking, and bicycling. This summer we drove to South Dakota and spent a week tent camping in the Black Hills with no electricity. It was wonderful and we had so much fun!!
