4th - Alyssa Klug

Welcome to 4th Grade! My name is Alyssa Klug and this will be my fifth year teaching in the Richfield Jt.1 School District. I started out teaching 4K and Kindergarten at Plat Elementary and then made the jump to fourth grade at Richfield Elementary.

I graduated from UW-Oshkosh with a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education. After graduating, I worked in a 3K program before joining the caring and dedicated staff here at Richfield. In addition to teaching, I have also been busy with my 6 year old son Jameson and 4 year old daughter Addison. I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, listening to music, scrapbooking, and traveling.

In fourth grade, daily instruction will focus mainly around reading, writing, math, social studies and science. We will continue to dive into our Writer’s Workshop curriculum by Lucy Calkins as well as Reader’s Workshop this year. Students will review proper cursive formation using the Handwriting Without Tears model. And while spending time in the computer lab, students will brush up on their keyboarding skills using Keyboarding Without Tears. Outside of our classroom, students will receive instruction in physical education, Spanish, music, art and library.

This is going to be an exciting and successful year! I look forward to getting to know each and every one of you! My door is always open. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have. Email is the quickest way to do so.
